Resilient
I’m allergic to design that only works in the presentation. The real test is whether it survives the next year, the next leadership change, the next budget squeeze. Work spanning higher education, nonprofits, and government-adjacent contexts (including the U.S. Department of Justice) taught me that resilience is really continuity: work that stays usable, maintainable, and understandable by people who weren’t in the room when it was made. Even in complex enterprise environments like Northrop Grumman, the same rule holds: the system has to keep functioning when conditions change.
